명대사의 괴력 ⑦ Scent of a woman - 여인의 향기 (1993)

명대사의 괴력 어제 올렸던 애니기븐 선데이에서의 알파치노의 괴력같은 명스피치에 몇분이 이 영화를 언급했습니다.

저역시 잊고 있었던 영화였는데 다시 꺼내서 봤습니다. 앞이 보이지 않는 퇴역 군인으로 괴팍스러운한 알파치노의 연기는

아픔과 감동을 줍니다. 그 아픔은 옳은길을 알았지만 가기힘들었다는 그 만의 암흑속의 방황과 지금 젊은이들에게 순수함마저 잊고

사리사욕의 거래를  종용하는 어른들의 잘못된 가르침에 불싸지르고 싶었다는 그의 열정은 많은 감동을 줍니다.

 

학교장과 그의차 재규어에 오물세레를 퍼부은 부잣집아이들 3명을 주인공과 친구 한명과 보게 됩니다. 학교장은 당장 묵과할 수 없는 사건으로 보고

그들을 학칙으로 엄벌할려고 합니다. 그러나 증인의 증언이 있어야 벌칙을 줄 수 있는 상황. 주인공과 친구는 교장의 설득에 흔들리기 시작합니다.

그때 주인공 오도넬의 알바로 알게된 앞을 못보는 퇴역군인 알파치노의 명변론으로 되 살아나는 이야기입니다.

학교장이 제시한 것은 일 저지른넘들은 모두 부잣집아이들, 고학생인 주인공에게 학교장은 너는 내추천으로 하바드까지 갈 수 있다는 말로 꾀게 되죠.

(한마디로 고자질쟁이가 되라는...) 이런 작태를 직감한 알파치노는 광분하게 되는데...
