2000년대 이후 그리고 디지털 + 3D 작업이 일본 애니메이션계에서 상당히 보편적인 방법이 되었을 때
곤조 사에서 나왔던 애니메이션인데 "LAST EXILE"이라는 제목을 가지고 있었습니다.
참고로 곤조 사에서는 1999년에 어디까지나 "뜨는 기법"이지 권장기법이나 보편적인 제작방식이 아니었던
"2D 애니메이션에 3D 가져다 넣기"로 "청의 6호"를 만든 전적이 있습니다.
위의 "LAST EXILE"이 (심야 시간대로 기억하는데 아닌가요.) TV 일본 내 방송 애니메이션이었던 것에 비해
"청의 6호"는 OVA입니다. 각 편들은 익숙한 방송 시간에 맞춰져 있는 것은 아닙니다.
아래는 "청의 6호"의 트레일러입니다.
영문판 성경과(이것도 버전이 꽤 많더군요.) 한글 개역개정판 성경을 번갈아 보고 있는데 재미있네요.
영문판은 King James bible 봅니다. (라기보단, 웹에서 읽기 편한 문체가 그쪽이라서요...)

The Beast Out of the Sea
1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

The Beast Out of the Earth

그러고보면 성경은 아~주 독자적인 창작품이라고는 볼 수가 없고, 사실 (안 읽어봤지만요) 유대교 설화와 페니키아 설화하고도 겹치는 부분이 있다고 들었습니다. 구체적으로는 징벌(홍수)라던가 나오는 중요한 괴물의 형체 등이 그렇다네요. 이 세 지역 모두 건조하고 물이 부족한 데다가 농업보다는 잘 생각하면 출애굽기에서 유대인들의 일부가 살고 있던 이집트도 건조는 진짜로 말 잘못하면 번데기 앞에서 주름 잘못잡을 정도의 지역이겠죠 양을 치거나 작물이라고 해도 인구부양력이 적은 밀이나 인구부양으로는 생각하기 힘들고 부수적인 영양보충이라고 하면 대충 타산이 맞을 포도나 올리브 정도가 주요 가장 기본적인 일들이었을 겁니다.
사실 그놈의 감람나무 발음하기도 힘든데
그냥 생각해보니 자주 나오는 작물이 포도나무, 그리고 작물로 언급되나요 그냥 빵이라고 하면 알아서 밀이나 이집트는 맥주 있었으니까 보리빵도 있었겠지, 올리브(감람) 정도였던 것 같군요.
그리고 이 작물들 중 그냥 놔뒀는데 쑥쑥 잘 자라는 것이 있던가요. 그래서 삽질을 계속 강요하는 성경....읽다 보면 노동, 노동, 양, 포도나무를 제대로 기르려면 땅을 잘 갈아엎어야한다는 격언 비스무리한 것부터 가끔은 물이 없으면 감람유라도 마시지 그러니?같은 느낌이 안 드는 건 아닙니다 아예 잠들면 빈궁해질 것이라는 이야기까지 있더군요. 그 문장은 너무 무서워서 차마 가져오지는 않았습니다만...

어릴 때 두 작품 다 좋아했어요.
그래서 라스트 엑자일 2기 소식에 기뻤지만 막상 보니 내용이 참...ㅠㅠ
