뉴욕 주에서의 판결이고 LA에서도 두 여성이 고소해서 기소된 상황입니다.
Jodi Kantor의 책에 보니까 형제인 밥 와인스틴도 하비를 어쩔 수 없었다고 하더군요. 분노 조절 장애? 심지어 회의하다가 사람들 앞에서 밥을 주먹으로 갈기기조차 했다고 합니다.
와인스틴 컴퍼니는 08년에 <Roman Polanski :Wanted and Desired>를 제작했고 타란티노의 <장고>에 나왔던 Misty Upham의 사망에 미라맥스 중역이 골든글로브에서 저지른 성범죄가 원인이 되었다는 말이 있습니다.
Misty Upham fought tirelessly to end violence against indigenous women, domestic workers and undocumented women. Misty was found dead at the bottom of a cliff three years ago. Her father, Charles Upham, just made a Facebook post saying she was raped at a party by a Miramax executive.
와인스틴의 변호를 받았던 사람이 리사 불룸인데 이제는 앤드류 왕자 피해자들 변호를 하는군요.

애나벨라 시오라가 영화 요람을 흔드는 손에서도 동종의 사건을 겪고 범죄자는... 실제에서는 25년형이군요.

93-94년 겨울에 범행이 일어났다고 하더군요. 우마 서먼도 있던 파티에서 와인스틴이 태워 주겠다고 해서 동석한 후 내려서 집에 도착하고 잠 잘 준비 다 끝낸 상태에서 누가 문을 두드리길래 나가 보니 와인스틴이었다고 합니다.
친구인 로지 페레즈9(<피어리스>에 나왔던)가 실제 시오라가 당시에 사실을 이야기했다고 증언했다고 합니다.
엘렌 바킨이 애나벨라 시오라만큼 재능있는 배우가 왜 좀 더 크지 못 했을까 란 의문을 가졌는데 나중에 사실이 밝혀지고 놀랐다고 하죠.

25년은 최대형량이고, 형량은 3월11일에 선고됩니다.
형량이 가장 높은 죄목이 무죄가 나왔기 때문에, 이론적으로 집행유예도 가능하다고는 하네요.

감옥은 둘째치고 일단 헐리우드에서는 끝났죠.

"In 2011, my friend and colleague Jessica Barth, with whom I worked on the Ted films, confided in me regarding her encounter with Harvey Weinstein and his attempted advances," MacFarlane tweeted on Wednesday. "She has since courageously come forward to speak out. It was with this account in mind that, when I hosted the Oscars in 2013, I couldn't resist the opportunity to take a hard swing in his direction. Make no mistake, this came from a place of loathing and anger.

그건 아니고 배심원단에서 ‘유죄’를 결정했어요. 물론 6건 중 2건에 대해서이지만. 배심원단에서는 유무죄만 결정하고 형량은 판사가 결정합니다.
