Dybala's arrival would not only be a huge hit on the technical level but also a signing of enormous symbolic value: first Scudetto to end Juve's dominance, then Super Cup, and then stealing their number 10, a kind of Triplete to heat up the Italian derby.
There's tension between Dybala and Juve, that's also obvious. In October, there was a handshake for a five-year deal at 8M plus 2M in bonuses per year. Then something happened and everything is jammed when he had a pen in his hand to sign the deal.

Inter know everything. Marotta is perfectly aware of that situation & every movement around the Argentinian. Beppe also knows Dybala has given Juve priority until the end of the month (January). Dybala does not want to talk to other clubs and yet many calls have arrived to agent.

To be clear, Inter cannot afford the October's numbers (10M per year). It's off limit given the recent extension of Lautaro (6M plus bonuses) and the same should be Brozovic's. But if Dybala can just lower the demand a bit then Inter would be ready for that battle.

In June, Inter's wage bill will be a lot lighter: Vidal and Vecino's contracts are due to expire. That's 16M gross a year freed up for the Nerazzurri. 16M is enough to plan an assault to sign Dybala.

Inter's attack next season will be different. And Marotta is ready for it. He has no desire to make empty attempts & at 0 cost Dybala is a delicious dish for the Zhang's club. In 2019, Beppe already tried to strike up a Dybala-Icardi exchange. That appreciation remains unchanged.
