Take on me가 아하의 유일한 빌보드 차트 넘버원인 건 맞을 겁니다. 바뜨. 빌보드 넘버원만을 대박으로 보는 건 좀 그렇죠. 그외에도 히트한 곡들이 꽤 있어요. Take on me가 실린 Hunting High and Low 앨범에서만 해도 The Sun Always Shines on TV, Train of Thought, Hunting High and Low 등이 히트했죠. 검색해보니 이 친구들 유럽에서 인기가 좋았네요.
전 이 그룹이 일본 와서 했던 인터뷰도 기억납니다. 미국 유럽에서는 팬들이 달려들어서 뭐라도 하나 가져가려고 티셔츠도 뜯고 머리카락도 뜯는데, 일본에서는 소녀팬들이 뭐라도 하나 더 주려고 안간힘을 쓰는게 놀랍기도 하고 신기하기도 했다고요. 그 얘기 듣고 저도 신기했더랬죠. 팝스타가 올 일이 거의 없을 거라고 믿던 때라서 누가 온다고 하면 뭘 주면 좋을까 팝스타 좋아하던 아이들끼리 모여서 상상하곤 했거든요.
