<잡담> 베네데타/ 신의 손

<베네데타>에 유방암으로 죽어 가는 수녀 역을 한 끌로딜데 쿠로가 사보이아 왕가 후손과 결혼했더군요. 

현 이탈리아 축구 대표팀 그러니까 아주리의 색이 사보이아 왕가의 색이었던 걸로 압니다.

<베네데타>가  버호벤의 가장 개인적인 영화라고 평한 리뷰도 있더군요.

thewrap.com에서는 이 영화를 오필리가 코끼리의 대변으로 그린 성모 마리아에 비유했습니다.

Is such a scene supposed to be serious? Well, of course not! At the same time, like artist Chris Ofili’s controversial cow-dung painting “The Holy Virgin Mary,” “Benedetta” is a film that argues that the sacred can and should be found in the vulgar and profane. Because who the hell decided what’s sacred and what’s not? When the two lovers are put on trial later in the film, Bartolomea is unable to “confess” because for her, the act of feeling and sharing pleasure is in no way a sin. 

In that sense, the film serves as a roundabout statement on Verhoeven’s whole career. Because once you follow a certain logic — where the characters must unlearn that suffering is the only way to redemption — all the way through, “Benedetta” can be viewed as an argument for the beauty and value of cheap thrills.

저는 데이빗 라샤펠의 Jesus is my homeboy  떠올렸죠

확실히 서양에서의 신을 믿는다는 것을 동양인인 제가 이해하기는 힘듭니다. 

911이후 미국 청소년들 사이에서 Jesus is my homeboy/Mary is my homegirl라는 티셔츠가 유행했다는데 어떤 확실함,안정감을 찾고 싶은 심리란 기사를 읽은 적이 있습니다. 성녀로 베네데타를 일반 백성들은 받아들인 이유가 페스트가 번지는 세상이라 그런 듯 합니다

"가 제목이네요. 아직 보지는 않았지만 도입부에 마라도나가 나오기는 하나 봅니다. 감독이 나폴리 출신이고 청소년기 시절 얘기를 한다고 하니까요.

그 경기에서 마라도나는 핸드볼도 했지만 몇 분 후에 세기의 골이라고 불리우는 골을 터뜨려서 가장 추악한 골과 가장 아름다운 골을 한 경기에 넣은 걸로 역사상 이름을 남기게 됩니다.

Diego Maradona saved Paolo Sorrentino’s life; cinema gave it meaning. On Sunday, 5 April, 1987, Maradona’s Napoli travelled to Tuscany, where they played out a goalless draw with Empoli. Sorrentino, the future maestro of Italian cinema, then a 17-year-old schoolboy, had planned to spend the weekend with his parents, at their house in the mountains. But with the World Cup-winning Argentine as their talisman, Napoli were on the way to their first-ever Serie A championship. Young Paolo, a fanatical supporter of his local team, was permitted, for the first time, to go to the match alone. Both his parents were killed that weekend, poisoned in their bed by carbon monoxide fumes from a faulty heater.

“That tragedy has marked my life,” Sorrentino told me, in September. “My adolescence ended with my parents’ death. At 17, I was as old as I am now. I’m still stuck on that date, on that day. My life has not changed. That pain is still with me and will always be with me and has forged my temperament, my personality, and made me unstable and very prone to rage. All that is connected to that tragedy.”

마라도나와 사이가 좋을 리가 없던 영국 매체는 사망 시에 "신의 손 안에 있다"라고 헤드라인.

At a news conference in Buenos Aires, Alvarez said Maradona had raped her in the clinic in Havana where he was staying, while her mother was in the next room.

"He covers my mouth, he rapes me, I don't want to think about it too much," Alvarez said.

"I stopped being a girl, all my innocence was stolen from me. It's hard. You stop living the innocent things that a girl of that age has to experience."

Matias Morla, Maradona's lawyer before his death, did not respond to a request for comment. Reuters could not identify other legal representatives for Maradona in the case.

Alvarez has previously described the relationship in media interviews as consensual, but also said that Maradona had at least on one occasion forced himself upon her.

She said that her family had only allowed a relationship with the star to happen, despite the large age gap, because of Maradona's friendship with the late Cuban President Fidel Castro.

"My family would never have accepted it if the Cuban government had not been involved," she said. "They were forced in another way to accept a relationship that was not good for them, or for anyone."

Cuba's government did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Alvarez said she had filed the complaint "in order to help all women, all victims of trafficking, of crime," she said. "To be able to help them in whatever way I can. That's my idea."

She said it was hard to be back in Argentina, where Maradona remains a hero to many.

"It's hard to be in his country, to see that he is everywhere, he is an idol and at the same time everything I remember about him as a person feels ugly," she said.

그러고 보니 저는 맨체스터에서 뛰는 ㅇㅅㅋ 가 자의식 과잉이라고 확실히 느꼈던 게 작년 마라도나 생일 때 토티,바티스투타,리네커를 비롯한 온갖 축구계 인사들이 축하 메시지 전할 때 라방 켜고 생일 축하한다,엘 비초 ㅡ 날두 본인 ㅡ보다는 밑이다 이렇게 말하는 거 보고요. 카사노한테 문자 보낸 거야 뭐 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
